Morocco’s Foreign Minister Nasser Burita has visited North Macedonia for talks with his counterpart, Timco Mucunski.
They discussed strengthening political ties and developing cooperation in economy, tourism, culture, and infrastructure. While Mucunski emphasized the importance of the relationship beyond politics, proposing a Business Forum in Morocco to boost trade and investment, Both ministers highlighted shared strategic values, including connections with the EU, US, and UK, and are working to establish direct flights to enhance communication and trade.
They also supported the UN-led process for Western Sahara, reaffirming Morocco’s 2007 autonomy proposal. This however is said to be the first visit of a Moroccan Foreign Minister to North Macedonia.
