Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the Super Falcons, Africa’s reigning champions, will arrive in Abuja today for a trophy parade following their victory over Morocco in the WAFCON 2024 final.
Recall the team secured a dramatic 3–2 comeback in Rabat to claim their record-extending 10th WAFCON title.
The Falcons are expected to land at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by midday, where they will receive a hero’s welcome. Also, a celebratory open-roof bus parade has been planned through key areas of Abuja, including Airport Road, Berger Junction, Maitama, and Wuse Market, before meeting President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa.
