The Nigerian naira has closed the month of July at N1,533.55/$ in the official foreign exchange market, slightly weaker by 0.25% compared to June’s close of N1,529.71/$.

The currency saw a brief rally to a four-month high of N1,518/$ on July 14, its strongest since March 14, 2025, but later stabilized within the N1,530–1,535/$ range, aided by Central Bank interventions and increased foreign inflows

In the parallel market, the naira also stabilized, with the gap between official and black market rates narrowing, though it depreciated slightly by 32 basis points to N1,545/$.
