Rivers State Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.) has appointed chairmen and members for eight boards, including the Rivers State University Governing Council, chaired by Okey Wali SAN , Dr Sampson Parker was named chairman of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital board, with Prof. Chizindu Alikor retained as Chief Medical Director. Dr Samuel Nwanosike, a Nyesom Wike ally, was also appointed chairman of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency, with Wokoma Amakiri as managing director.
Other appointments include Samuel Ogeh (Universal Basic Education Commission), Tony Egwurugwu (Senior Secondary Education Board), Israel Egbunefu (Internal Revenue), Prof. Princewill Chike (Contributory Health Protection Programme), and Prof. Adolphus Toby (Microfinance Agency).
The appointments were announced by Prof. Ibibia Worika, with a swearing-in ceremony to follow.
