Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will travel to Washington on Monday to meet with US President Donald Trump to discuss ending the war and killings in Ukraine.
This follows a call between Zelensky and Trump, where Trump shared details of his recent talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, which yielded no ceasefire or breakthrough in Russia’s over three-year invasion.
Zelensky emphasized involving European allies in all stages of negotiations and expressed openness to a trilateral meeting with Trump and Putin, a format Ukraine supports but the Kremlin has resisted.
