FIFA President Gianni Infantino has condemned recent incidents of racial abuse during German Cup matches and the Premier League opener, calling them “unacceptable.”
During the German matches, a player was racially abused by spectators, leading to match disruptions and apologies from the clubs involved.
Similarly, Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo was racially attacked during a Premier League game, prompting police action. Infantino emphasized FIFA’s commitment to monitoring and combating racism, reaffirming that there is no place for such behavior in football.
