Kano State Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA) has launched mobile courts to conduct immediate trials for motorists and tricycle operators violating traffic lights in Kano metropolis, following Governor Abba Yusuf’s directive to enforce traffic rules and improve road safety.
KAROTA’s Managing Director, Faisal Mahmud Kabir, emphasized that the courts aim to ensure compliance with new solar-powered traffic lights, prioritizing safety over punishment. Offenders will face on-the-spot trials, supported by KAROTA and security personnel. The Federal Road Safety Corps Kano Sector Command backs the initiative, pledging to assist in enforcement.
