Nigeria Immigration Service has announced that effective September 1, 2025, the cost of obtaining a Nigerian passport within Nigeria will increase.
The new fees are N100,000 for a 32-page, 5-year passport and N200,000 for a 64-page, 10-year passport. Fees for Nigerians in the diaspora remain unchanged at $150 and $230, respectively.
The increase aims to maintain passport quality and service standards. This follows a previous hike in 2024, when prices rose from N35,000 to N50,000 for the 32-page passport and from N70,000 to N100,000 for the 64-page passport.
