Former First Lady Patience Jonathan has ruled out returning to the Presidential Villa, citing Nigeria’s current distress and her need for peace.
She emphasized that she cannot go back to power, saying, “My peace is enough.” Her comments come amid increasing pressure on former President Goodluck Jonathan to run in the 2027 presidential election.
However, presidential aide Bayo Onanuga warned him against listening to such urges, recalling his 2015 defeat. While speculation suggests Jonathan might contest under the PDP, he has yet to make any official declaration regarding his candidacy.
