Ahead of the crucial World Cup qualifying match between the Super Eagles and Bafana Bafana of South Africa next week, the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein has been approved to host the fixture by FIFA and CAF, reports PUNCH Sports Extra.

There had been concerns about the pitch conditions at the stadium, leading to uncertainty over its suitability for the match. However, after further inspections, FIFA and CAF issued a joint statement confirming that the stadium is fit to host the game, citing encouraging improvements in the pitch. The statement affirmed that the match will proceed as scheduled at the Free State Stadium.
