National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the 2025 SSCE results, 54 days after the last exam paper.

Out of 1,358,339 candidates, 60.26% scored 5 credits including Math and English, while 84.26% achieved five credits overall. The exam was conducted from June 16 to July 25, 2025.

There were 1,622 candidates with special needs. Cases of exam malpractice decreased by 61.58% from 2024, with 3,878 involved in misconduct. Additionally, 38 schools across 13 states were involved in mass cheating, and nine supervisors were recommended for blacklisting. Also, Disruptions due to communal clashes affected some schools in Adamawa, with efforts underway to conduct make-up exams.
