Libyan Zuwara Naval Operations Force has announced that they rescued 35 migrants near the Tunisian border during a mission on Tuesday.
The force released footage showing the migrants on rescue boats and receiving medical treatment on land. Among the survivors were five women and a child, according to the naval authorities in Zuwara, a western town controlled by the Tripoli-based government.
Libya remains a key transit point for migrants fleeing conflict and poverty in Africa and the Middle East.
