Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has expressed satisfaction with the progress of the 12.5km Trans-Kalabari Road project, confirming that about 75% of the critical piling work has been completed.
Speaking after an inspection tour conducted by boat along the project route from Rumuolumeni in Obio/Akpor LGA, Fubara commended the Construction Company for its dedication, noting that the complex marine terrain made the project one of the state’s most technically demanding.
The governor explained that the first phase, which extends to Bakana, includes four major river-crossing bridges and several deck-on-pile structures. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering the project on schedule and predicted that within six months, significant progress would allow for vehicular passage.
