Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu has revealed that Spanish authorities are actively trying to persuade Edna Imade, a forward for Real Sociedad, to represent Spain instead of Nigeria.
Despite efforts to contact her and her family, there has been no response, and efforts to connect through her agent have also failed. Madugu emphasized that the decision ultimately lies with Imade, who holds Nigerian citizenship. Imade, born in Nigeria, has built her career in Spain with her rising prominence making her a key figure in the ongoing competition between Nigeria and Spain for her international allegiance.
