President Bola Tinubu has ordered a comprehensive security Blockade around forests in Kwara State following recent kidnappings and terrorist activities.

The Nigerian Air Force has been instructed to expand 24-hour air surveillance in the forests where terrorists are believed to be hiding, with coordination between air and ground forces.

The order also covers parts of Kebbi and Niger States, aiming to facilitate rescues and gather intelligence from communities about suspicious activities. These measures follow recent attacks, including the abduction of 38 churchgoers and at least 10 residents in Kwara, notably an attack in Isapa where bandits raided the community, firing indiscriminately and kidnapping residents, including vulnerable individuals. The Isapa incident marks the third major assault in the area within a month.
