Presidency has responded to former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s critique of Nigeria’s security situation, asserting he lacks the credibility to criticize President Bola Tinubu.

Obasanjo had expressed concern over rising insecurity and suggested Nigerians might seek foreign help, accusing the government of failure.

In reaction, the Presidency countered by blaming terrorism’s roots on Obasanjo’s administration and condemned his call for external intervention as an abdication of responsibility and a threat to Nigeria’s sovereignty. The response was conveyed by the President’s Special Adviser, Sunday Dare.
