The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has stressed that Nigeria’s security challenges cannot be solved by any single service or individual, calling for sustained joint operations, intelligence sharing, and inter-agency collaboration.
He made the remarks at the Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference 2025 in Lagos. Musa noted that the operational capacity of terrorists, bandits, and other criminal groups has been significantly degraded across multiple regions due to improved planning, coordinated multi-agency operations, and the bravery of troops. He emphasized the importance of the conference in reviewing the Army’s readiness, professionalism, and alignment with national security priorities, which remain central to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda
