Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has explained that his decision to run for a single four-year term in 2027 is to uphold the principle of zoning.
He noted that, despite not being enshrined in Nigeria’s constitution, zoning has served as a stabilizer of the country’s political landscape.
While this was noted during an interview on national television, Obi emphasized that four years is sufficient for a dedicated and sincere leader to make a meaningful impact.
