Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecasted cloudy and thundery weather across Nigeria from today Wednesday to Friday. In its outlook, NiMet predicts morning thunderstorms and light rains in the northern region, including Taraba, Kebbi, Borno, Yobe, and Kano, with isolated thunderstorms and moderate rains expected later in the day.
The North Central region, including Abuja, Nasarawa, Niger, and Benue, is also forecasted to experience morning thunderstorms with light rains, followed by moderate rains in the afternoon. The southern region is expected to have morning rains over states such as Lagos, Rivers, and Akwa Ibom, with continued moderate rains later in the day.
NiMet warns of potential flooding in parts of Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River states during this period. The agency also forecasts partly cloudy skies in the northern region on Friday, with chances of thunderstorms and moderate rains over Taraba and Adamawa.
