The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced the successful applicants recruited as Police Constables following the completion of a nationwide exercise to hire 50,000 personnel. The commission issued a statement on Wednesday through its Head of Protocol and Public Relations, Torty Kalu, revealing that the recruitment was conducted in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, state career and counseling departments, and the Police Community Relations Committee.

Describing the process as “comprehensive, inclusive, equitable and transparent,” the PSC directed all candidates who participated in the written examination to check their recruitment status on the official portal, npfapplication.psc.gov.ng, which will open at midnight on Thursday, July 16, 2026.

Successful candidates will receive notifications via email and phone and are expected to report to their designated police training institutions for medical examinations and documentation on dates to be announced. The commission emphasized that failure to report within the stipulated time or failing the medical examination would result in disqualification. Candidates are advised to bring necessary documents, including their training call-up slip, national ID, bank verification number, and certificates.
