The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, has told the House of Representatives that her office never allocated office space to the embattled Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC).
Appearing before the House Ad-hoc Committee investigating alleged fraud linked to the council, Walson-Jack said the office reportedly occupied by the PFIPC at the Federal Secretariat was officially allocated to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), not the council.
She also disclosed that her office initially rejected the council’s request for an organisational structure because it failed to provide the required documentation. However, after additional documents, including the director-general’s appointment letter, were submitted during the 2025 manpower budget exercise, an authorised establishment for 314 positions and a recruitment waiver were approved.
