An Enugu Air aircraft has veered off the runway after landing at Benin Airport yesterday Thursday, with all passengers and crew members safely evacuated without injuries. The incident, classified as a runway excursion involving an Embraer regional jet, prompted initial social media reports of a crash-landing, which the airline clarified was not the case.
Currently, Enugu Air has stated the aircraft has been secured, and aviation authorities have been notified as investigations into the cause are underway.
The airline also announced potential temporary flight schedule adjustments, assuring the public that passenger safety remains their top priority as they investigate cause of the incident.
