Former two-time world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has moved closer to a long-awaited fight against Anthony Joshua after defeating Poland’s Mariusz Wach by technical knockout in the seventh round in Pattaya, Thailand.
The 37-year-old Briton dominated the 46-year-old Wach before the Polish fighter’s corner stopped the contest. Fury has now recorded two victories in two fights this year following a 16-month lay-off.
Attention now turns to Anthony Joshua, who faces Albania’s Kristian Prenga in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday. A victory for Joshua could pave the way for a blockbuster all-British heavyweight showdown with Fury.
