Industry data reveals domestic refineries have completely replaced imported aviation turbine kerosene (ATK) over the past 13 months, with no imports by Oil Marketing Companies from June 2025 to June 2026.

Instead, all aviation fuel supplies came solely from local refineries, marking a significant shift from years of reliance on imports due to limited domestic capacity.

This period, refinery receipts fluctuated, peaking at 14 million liters per day in December 2025, before declining to 2.5 million liters in June 2026. Despite these fluctuations, aviation fuel consumption remains relatively stable, averaging around three million liters daily, close to the national demand benchmark.
