
National Coordinator and CEO of the Nigeria African Continental Free Trade Area AfCFTA Coordination Office, Patience Okala, has emphasized at the Streamsowers & Köhn 20th Anniversary Business Forum that Africa must stop exporting raw materials and instead focus on adding value to its natural resources to fully benefit from the(AfCFTA).
She explained that AfCFTA extends beyond tariff elimination, serving as a framework for industrialization, value addition, and job creation across the continent.
Okala further highlighted that Africa’s economic transformation hinges on effective implementation of AfCFTA, not just signing trade agreements, and called for increased beneficiation to drive long-term growth.
