President Bola Tinubu has described the fuel subsidy removal as a painful but necessary decision to save Nigeria’s economy from collapse and reduce waste, enabling funding for major infrastructure projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Superhighway and others.

Speaking at the Progressives Governors’ Forum in Minna, Minister of Information Mohammed Malagi urged state Commissioners of Information to equip themselves with data to inform citizens about government reforms and programs under the Renewed Hope Agenda, ensuring public understanding and access to benefits. He emphasized the commissioners’ role as key communicators at the state level.

 

Niger State’s representatives highlighted their “New Niger” vision, focusing on agriculture, digitization, urban renewal, and youth empowerment, with strategic communication as a tool for development, accountability, and countering misinformation.
