Abia State Government has issued a warning about politicians buying Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) for N10,000 each, under the guise of creating a fake e-wallet for empowerment. This criminal act aims to compromise PVC authenticity and disenfranchise voters in the 2027 election.

The government, which has empowerment programs like the Interest-Free Loan Scheme and Abia Techrise Project, condemns this act and threatens severe consequences for perpetrators.

It urges residents, especially rural dwellers, to avoid sharing PVC or personal information that could endanger their voting rights.
