Anambra State ICT Agency has rolled out 25 live WiFi hotspots across the state as part of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s digitisation programme. The initiative, called Solution WiFi, fulfills Soludo’s manifesto pledge to provide cheap and free internet access in public places such as schools, lodges, markets, and government offices.

Managing Director Fred Agbata said the project aims to democratise internet access for students, traders, and civil servants, bridging information gaps and fostering inclusion. Current sites include UNIZIK Junction, Aroma Junction, Eke Awka, Nwafor Orizu College of Education, College of Health Obosi, and the State Assembly.

Agbata noted that beyond connectivity, the agency is digitising government processes, making civil service operations faster and more transparent. He described the initiative as a foundation for a “smart, liveable, and prosperous megacity” where technology drives governance, education, and opportunity.
