Supreme Court has upheld Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State’s election victory.
In a unanimous ruling, a five-member panel dismissed the appeal by PDP candidate Asuerinme Ighodalo, who sought to nullify the September 21, 2024, election results.
The Court confirmed the decisions of the Court of Appeal and the Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, ruling that there was no evidence of irregularities or non-compliance with electoral laws to justify overturning Okpebholo’s victory.
