Bayelsa Queens have advanced to the semi-finals of the 2025 WAFU B Women’s Champions League after a commanding 3-0 win over ASKO of Togo at the Stade du Lycée Scientifique in Ivory Coast. The Nigerian champions, who previously defeated Ghana’s Police Ladies 2-1, now top Group B with six points from two games.
The match was evenly contested in the first half, but Bayelsa broke the deadlock early in the second when ASKO’s Oumou Bani scored an own goal. Alaba Olabiyi added a second in the 53rd minute, while Shakirat Moshood sealed the victory in the 80th minute.
Bayelsa were solid defensively, earning their first clean sheet, with standout performances from Bunmi Oladeji and Emem Essien. Midfielder Vera Samuel was named Player of the Match for her influential display.
With a game to spare, Bayelsa Queens have booked a place in the semi-finals and are aiming to reclaim the WAFU B title they last won in 2022.
