Former President Muhammadu Buhari’s remains has arrived in Daura, Katsina State, his hometown, where he will be buried according to Islamic rites after a prayer led by the Chief Imam.

Mourners have gathered at his residence to pay their respects. Recall he died in London on July 13, 2025, but has now been flown back to Nigeria, arriving at Katsina’s airport, where President Bola Tinubu and other officials welcomed his remains.

The casket, draped with the Nigerian flag and carried by military pallbearers, was escorted in a solemn procession, including a guard of honor and a hymn.
