Chinese technologies highlighted their presence at the ninth edition of the Aviation Africa Summit and Exhibition, held in Kigali, Rwanda, from Thursday to Friday. The event emphasized increased collaboration between China and Africa in the low-altitude economy sector.

Under the theme “Collaborating to unlock Africa’s growth — How can Africa deliver a sustainable aviation industry?”, the summit drew 1,700 aviation professionals who engaged in in-depth discussions on the challenges facing Africa’s aviation sector and the opportunities created by emerging technologies.

While over 100 companies showcased their latest innovations and products, Rwandan President Paul Kagame In his opening remarks,

highlighted that high air travel costs hinder tourism and connectivity across Africa. He further emphasized the need to open up African skies to better serve citizens, businesses, and the broader economy, calling on governments and industry leaders to work together to make aviation more affordable and sustainable.
