Dangote Group has launched 4,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) trucks in Lagos as part of its logistics expansion, with plans to deploy 10,250 trucks by November 2025.
Chairman Aliko Dangote dismissed allegations of monopolistic practices, stressing that the ₦2 trillion investment aims to modernise Nigeria’s downstream sector, create 24,000 jobs with salaries four times the minimum wage, and stabilise fuel supply.
The group also plans to introduce electric vehicles by January 2026 and highlighted progress in fuel exports and fertiliser production. The new trucks began lifting petroleum products on Monday for nationwide distribution.
