Former Labour Party vice-presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, has stated he might consider running for president in 2027 if certain conditions are met—specifically, if Peter Obi and another unnamed southern candidate choose not to contest.
He emphasized that his motivation is not personal ambition but to address issues like violence and corruption.
Baba-Ahmed further expressed loyalty to Obi and pledged to support him again if he runs, noting he previously supported Obi in 2019.
