Nigeria’s D’Tigresses has secured their spot in the semifinals of the 2025 Women’s AfroBasket by defeating Cameroon 83-47, maintaining their unbeaten streak in Africa since 2015 and advancing toward a record fifth consecutive title.

The win marks their 27th consecutive victory on the continent. Despite an early lead by Cameroon, Nigeria responded with strong defense and teamwork, including key contributions from Amy Okonkwo with 18 points.

Also, a decisive 25-2 run in the third quarter effectively ended Cameroon’s challenge. In the meantime, Nigeria’s victory keeps their title defense alive and moves them closer to matching Senegal’s record of five consecutive titles.
