Education Minister Olatunji Alausa has assured that the Federal Government will prevent university strikes by engaging with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) respectfully to address issues like the 2009 ASUU-FGN Agreement, which covers university funding, salary arrears, and promotions.

He emphasized keeping children in school and avoiding publicizing private talks. Additionally, Alausa highlighted efforts to improve education by shifting West African Examinations Council. (WAEC )and National Examinations Council ( NECO) exams to computer-based testing to reduce malpractices, with WAEC’s November exams partially computer-based and full implementation planned for next year.
