Nigerian government has reaffirmed its commitment to making the power sector sustainable and bankable through ongoing reforms, emphasizing their importance for national economic growth.

Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, announced at a stakeholders meeting in Abuja that the estimated investment for the Mission 300 Compact is $32.8 billion, with $15.5 billion expected from the private sector. The mission aims to provide electricity to 300 million unserved people across Africa.

Adelabu also indicated plans to transition the sector to a cost-reflective regime while implementing targeted subsidies for vulnerable citizens.
