The Federal Government has fixed a national stakeholder forum for July 23–24, 2025, to address growing concerns surrounding petrol pricing and supply within the downstream sector.

The forum, which is being organized by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), will bring together key industry stakeholders—marketers, refiners, and government officials—to deliberate on pricing frameworks, feedstock availability, and workable strategies for stabilizing the deregulated market.

This move comes in response to mounting concerns, especially from independent marketers, over the erratic changes in petrol prices—particularly after recent price shifts linked to the Dangote refinery.
