A memo from the ministry’s Technology and Science Education Department confirmed that retirees will serve as Specialist Trade Teachers (STT) or as Institutional Quality Assurance Monitors (IQAM) to help fill knowledge gaps and maintain high standards.

The free TVET programme, which provides trainees with a ₦22,500 monthly stipend, is being implemented in partnership with the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) at accredited centres across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
