Federal Government, through the National Artisan Skills Acquisition Programme (NASAP), plans to train and certify 10,000 artisans annually to support the country’s growing housing sector.

Presented by the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Dangiwa, NASAP aims to professionalize artisans, improve quality, and connect skilled workers to job opportunities via a digital platform, likened to an “Uber for artisans.”

The program will include six months of intensive training in 10 key construction trades, with profiles accessible to developers and the public to build trust.

It will be implemented in three phases from 2025 to 2027, leveraging existing training centers and partnerships with international agencies.
