Ghana and Villarreal midfielder Thomas Partey, 32, has pleaded not guilty in a UK court to five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault involving three women. The alleged offences occurred between 2021 and 2022 while he was at Arsenal.
Partey was charged four days after leaving Arsenal at the end of June and has since joined Villarreal. He was granted bail under conditions barring contact with the alleged victims and requiring police notification of any address or travel changes.
His trial at Southwark Crown Court is scheduled for November 2026 due to a court backlog. Partey’s court appearance came a day after playing for Villarreal in their Champions League loss to Tottenham.
