Governor Chukwuma Soludo says security in Anambra State has greatly improved ahead of the November 8 governorship election, noting that residents can now “sleep with both eyes closed.”

Speaking on NATIONAL TELEVISION , Soludo said eight local governments, including the once-dreaded Ihiala, have been reclaimed from non-state actors since he assumed office. He credited the progress to his administration’s five-point agenda focused on protecting lives and property.

Soludo also said the Monday sit-at-home is now voluntary, as the state is secure, and INEC has conducted voter registration smoothly in all 326 wards
