Independent National Electoral Conmossion INEC has officially confirmed the re-election of Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his deputy, Onyekachukwu Ibezim, by awarding them their certificates of return. The presentation was attended by Soludo, Ibezim, and their wives.
The certificates were presented in Awka, two days after their victory in the November 8 governorship election. Soludo, representing APGA, won with 422,664 votes, winning all 21 local government areas, defeating main contender Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu of APC.
Recall the election saw 16 candidates from various parties, with over 598,000 voters accredited.
