Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma announced that the forthcoming Imo Economic Summit, scheduled for the first week of December, is expected to generate $1 trillion in economic gains for the state.
Speaking at the Government House in Owerri, Uzodimma said the summit would launch a broader economic and tourism agenda, including a World Investment and Economic Summit featuring global leaders such as a former UN Secretary-General, a former British Prime Minister, Nigeria’s President, and several African heads of state.
He also highlighted ongoing projects like the Light Up Imo Project, vowing to overcome political obstacles preventing the state from connecting its new power infrastructure to the national grid
