Imo State Commissioner for Power and Electrification, Engr. Nwabueze Oguchienti, has clarified and provided further insight into the state government’s plan for a 24-hour power supply across Imo.
Speaking during an exclusive interview on Toast 90.3 FM to mark World Energy Day, Engr. Oguchienti reaffirmed that several power projects are currently ongoing in different parts of the state.
He disclosed that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with the Orashi Power Plant to enhance power generation and distribution throughout Imo State.
The commissioner also explained that the initiative will be implemented in phases, noting that some parts of Owerri will begin receiving steady power supply first, before gradual expansion to other areas of the state.
