Government of Imo State has informed the public that all public activities, including parades previously scheduled to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, have been canceled.
Nevertheless, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, Governor of Imo State, will deliver his Independence Day broadcast to the people of Imo State as planned.
Residents are kindly advised to observe the anniversary quietly from their homes and to offer prayers for the peace, progress, and unity of Nigeria and its leadership.
Additionally, the Government of Imo State extends warm wishes to all citizens for a peaceful and reflective 65th Independence Anniversary.
