Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, has stated that Iran would consider resuming nuclear talks with the US if assurances are given that there will be no further attacks against Iran.
He emphasized that Iran remains willing to negotiate but demands guarantees that hostilities, such as recent Israeli bombings and US strikes, will not recur, as these have complicated diplomatic efforts.
Following recent attacks, Iran had suspended cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog, citing security concerns and the safety of inspectors. Iran however, insists on continuing uranium enrichment and has expressed that inspections should be based on Iran’s interests and security.
