Jannik Sinner has defeated two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in a four-set match (4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4) to win his first Wimbledon title, ending Alcaraz’s title defense.
This victory marked Sinner’s third Grand Slam title, bringing him closer to Alcaraz’s four. The match, lasting just over three hours, saw Sinner overcome a five-match losing streak against Alcaraz.
Despite a near loss in the fourth round due to a pectoral injury, Sinner’s resilience led to this historic win, his first major title on grass. He credited learning from his French Open loss to Alcaraz as key to his success.
