Four-time Grand Slam champion Jannik Sinner will miss Italy’s bid for a third straight Davis Cup title next month.

Despite a stellar 2025 season—winning the Australian Open and Wimbledon and featuring in all four Grand Slam finals—Sinner has opted out of the Davis Cup, with Italy’s captain Filippo Volandri confirming he “had not given his availability.”

His withdrawal adds to growing player concerns about the demanding tennis calendar, echoed by Holger Rune’s injury and Jack Draper’s call for schedule reform.
