Kaduna State Government has accused former Governor Nasir El-Rufai of attempting to destabilize the state through provocation and incitement following his political allies’ defeat in the August 16 by-elections.
The government alleges that El-Rufai organized a violent meeting on August 30 and made false claims against the government to shift blame. It also criticized his television statements accusing federal and state governments of bribing bandits, calling them malicious lies aimed at undermining security efforts.
The government highlighted security and developmental gains under Governor Uba Sani, contrasting them with El-Rufai’s tenure, which it described as divisive. It warned El-Rufai to stop actions threatening stability, emphasizing that security agencies are on alert to maintain peace.
